# About Kitecorp

Kitecorp is a small consultancy of senior engineers. We scale microservices, migrate monoliths and data to the cloud, and run Kubernetes, CI/CD and AI operations for products that serve millions of users. We also build Kite, an open-source infrastructure-as-code language.

## Who we are

Kitecorp is the consultancy of Echostream SRL, a company registered in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It was founded by [Tudor Pop](/team/tudor-pop) after years of scaling consumer products sold through T-Mobile, Verizon and TMcell to millions of users, and of building platforms for mimedia.com, sliide.com, eppione.com and transferify.eu. The team is small on purpose: the engineer you meet on the discovery call is the engineer who does the work.

## What we believe about infrastructure

That it should be plain, small and measured. Plain: a system a new engineer can read in a day, with the reasons written next to the code. Small: as few moving parts as the problem needs, and a bias against adding a tool to solve a problem a convention would solve. Measured: a load test before a launch, a number before a decision, a dashboard that answers the on-call engineer's first question. We would rather tell a client that Kubernetes is the wrong choice than sell a cluster.

## Open source: Kite

We build [Kite](https://kitelang.cloud), an open-source infrastructure-as-code language. It exists because the problems we solve for clients repeat, and a language is the most honest place to record a solution.
